عَجَبًا لِلمِحرَابِ ضَمَّ رَبَّ الوَغَى سَاجِدًا، فَانفَلَقَ الفَجرُ عَن كُسُوفِ المَجدِ! يَا غَادِيًا فِي طِمرَيهِ، لَقَد كُنتَ لِلأَرضِ مِرسَاةً وَلِلسَّمَاءِ مِعرَاجًا، حَمَلتَ بَأسَ الغَضَنفَرِ وَرِقَّةَ الغَمَامِ فِي صَدرٍ وَاحِد.. وَاليَومَ خَلَا المَكَانُ، وَبَانَت لِلنَّاسِ سَرَائِرُكَ التِي جَهِلُوا، جُمِعَت فِي صِفَاتِكَ الأَضدَادُ حَتَّى حَارَ فِي كُنهِكَ الأَشهَادُ: «خُلُقٌ يَخجَلُ النَّسِيمُ مِنَ اللُّطفِ .. وَبَأسٌ يَذُوبُ مِنهُ الجَمَادُ!» فَيَا لَهفَ الدُّنيَا عَلَى مَن صَرَعَهَا زُهدًا، وَصَرَعَتهُ غَدرًا.. وَيَا وَيحَ الكَهفِ الذِي أَوَى إِلَيهِ اليَتَامَى، فَصَارُوا بَعدَهُ فِي تِيهِ الزَّمَانِ رَقِيمًا.
