Hi so actually this type of hotline SHOULD exist. Many people have fantasies and urges or intrusive thoughts that they do not actually want to or intend on acting on. If there is a safe space where they are able to discuss this with a trained professional in order to prevent harm, THAT IS A GOOD THING. We WANT prevention. We can’t just snap our fingers and hope that these people don’t exist anymore. The reality is that they do exist. Why would we not want to help them and prevent further harm????

That number already exists- 911. Tell them you are going to hurt someone and feel like you can't control it. They'll send an ambulance and take you to the hospital.
