I am a senior in high school and today I realized that I need to start living life more and be more social. However, because I was too shy and afraid of being fun I decided to cut everyone off and put up a fake personality that isn’t who I truly am. I acted nonchalant, like I didn’t care about school or about getting involved in extracurriculars, but deep down I really did care about school and I wanted to get involved in school activities. I realized that because of my actions and my mentality, I missed out on everything good in life. I could’ve made so many friends had I not distanced myself from everyone, I could’ve experienced so many new things, and I could’ve made so many memories. I regret not being more social, and now I realize we truly only get one shot at this game of life, and we shouldn’t let our own actions/mentality hold us back from living life to the fullest. Don’t let your fear hold you back.
