Grief is like glitter. In the beginning, it’s everywhere. On your hands, in your hair, scattered across every corner of your life. You try to clean it up, to restore some sense of order. And for a while, it seems like you’ve succeeded. But then, one day, you move a sofa or open a forgotten drawer, and there it is again. A tiny sparkle that catches the light and reminds you of what you lost. It doesn’t go away completely. It settles, becomes quieter, less overwhelming. You learn to live with it, to carry it gently. And years later, when you find a bit of that glitter tucked behind a shelf, you might smile. Maybe even laugh. Because it reminds you of love, of connection, of someone who mattered deeply. Eventually, something will catch your eye.. a photo, a favorite song, a familiar scent, and instead of pain, you’ll feel warmth. That’s the quiet truth about grief. It stays with you, but it changes. It becomes a part of your story, a soft echo of the love that never really left. I’m so sorry for your loss. 🕊️🤍

This is NOT weird. There is no such thing as “weirdly grieving” it’s just grieving. A loss of that magnitude alters your brain and changes you forever.

This is real grieving. There are so many questions you can’t even say out loud. Don’t let a single person make you feel bad about your grief.

yall saying its weird but talking about it, even online, is healing and coping with it in small ways. Dive deeper into stages of grief and how people respond to loss before immediately choosing to insult her. Grief is the hardest thing to overcome

These type of thoughts are very typical during the grieving process. Details are often shared in grief support groups. TikTok is used by so many for emotional processing of so many things, divorce, grief, cancer journeys, medical diagnosis, infertility, caregiver fatigue, etc. She’s using TikTok as a tool to help her process the unexpected tragic loss of a parent so it makes perfect sense to share what she did. It’s better to just scroll than judge something that you fortunately do not understand. Instead of commenting something rude, work on improving your empathy.

Grieve loudly! It’s proof of your love & a way to keep him alive. Anyone who has something to say- just remember it says way more about them.

Don’t listen to people telling you this is weird. You’re processing and you’re grieving. I’m sorry you hold this weight ❤️‍🩹

THIS ISNT WEIRD. the people calling it weird, are literally children who haven’t figured out how to deal with big emotions. i’m being so serious too. they’re probs 12-15 year olds. the internet is big & full. but not everyone is right all of the time 💖

hey so its okay to give someone attention…. You guys are calling her weird, but humans seek attention everyday. Its okay to be selfish sometimes, also its not wven that big of a deal to just say “im so sorry for your loss, wanna tell us about it?” because maybe that IS what she wants to hear rn!!

Girl don’t, think of any other good memories you have. Don’t let that last minute define his memory, I can tell by this post he loved you too much for that.

I lost my best friend on Christmas morning when I was 14. I’m 36 now and still think of her daily. Grief is a journey. Yours is yours to tell if you wish & no one can tell you otherwise 🥰
