I text them the entire time in between the date, there is no rules but if it’s already hard and awkward to keep a conversation on text, I don’t know kinda shows me how the date is going to go when you do meet in person.

I think it's different for each person, i have a friend who would only text the person to set up a date and then meet and talk on the date whereas i'm completely different i like to have built up a connection before the actual date

Never. It builds a false reality that don't exist yet. You build feelings and emotions towards a person you never met. The outcome more times then not isn't good by texting too much before hand. It makes your brain think you're in a relationship already when your not.
