@thethaigerofficial: Phitsanulok fire suspect says he set blaze for amusement A 22-year-old man in Phitsanulok has been arrested after admitting that he deliberately started a forest fire for what he described as entertainment. Rangers from Chat Trakan Waterfall National Park were patrolling the Kaeng Hat Oi Forest after repeated reports of fires when they found the suspect carrying a lighter. During questioning, he reportedly confessed to setting the blaze himself. The case has drawn anger not only because of the damage caused, but because northern Thailand continues to struggle with recurring fire and haze problems that have serious environmental and health consequences. When wildfires are already such a major issue, a confession like this lands particularly badly with the public. It also highlights how difficult prevention can be when fires are not only linked to land use or negligence, but sometimes to deliberate acts. Authorities have handed the man over for legal action, but the wider concern remains the same: every new fire adds to a much bigger crisis in the region. Cases like this are likely to intensify calls for stronger enforcement and tougher deterrents. #Phitsanulok #ForestFire #Thailand #NorthernThailand #Wildfire #Environment #ThaiNews #AirPollution #BreakingNews #ThailandNews
