@rarefindssound: In the main recreation video on YouTube I mention using “a propped up piece of OSB board”, but I didn’t really explain why. By propping up the board slightly, it created a small air gap between the board and the floor. That gap allowed the board to vibrate and resonate more freely. Because the OSB board could shake around slightly, it naturally produced a low rumbling resonance, which worked perfectly for the Balrog’s fiery presence.
