You have not remembered incorrectly - it WAS Fitz who had been there before, so too had Verity. ♥️

I can't wait for you to read the final trilogy where it all comes together. However, hold on to your seat and grab your tissues, because you are in for a wild ride, and a bunch of emotions!!! It ALL collides in the most beautiful, emotional, satisfying but also heartbreaking way. Robin Hobb is a master, I swear!! The fact that this whole world, and story came from her imagination, is just amazing!! It is my favorite series of all time and I love seeing people discover it all for the first time.

Ooooh - great review. I had the same responses . Adore those rumbunctious dragons . The coming of age of the young dragon keepers . You are on the right track re been there before .

It was Fitz in Assassin’s Quest who smashed the window

Glad you enjoyed the quartet! It was only 3 stars for me overall (wasn't a fan of the teenage angst, or the dragons), but definitely worth reading for Kelsingra and the lore. My biggest gripe with this whole quartet is that it sort of made the Fool's sacrifice in Tawny Man pointless? Icefyre wasn't needed to restore dragons after all, so the Fool went through all of that for no reason?
