That burning in the bosom is a brainwashing from a very young age and spiritual abuse/threats. When I was 16yo, we had 2 young Mormon men (around 18yo) visit. They helped with some outside home renos and stayed for dinner to hold a bibles study with us. My dad and brother did a fantastic job at opening their understanding and it was evident they were both curious and accepting of our understanding of scripture. Of course they went back to their leaders each day to report. Next thing we knew, we had the Leaders on our doorstep telling us that out home has been blacklisted and no Mormon will be visiting is again and how dare we corrupt the thinking of these young men. Needless to say it wasn’t a nice/pleasant visit. We were really sad for the boys, we never saw them again.

I just had this exact interaction happen with a mormon and they said “that’s just a nickname we’re Christians too”. I asked him how are you Christian if you literally believe in a different Jesus that was a created being not the Jesus that did the creating?
