I chamfer the header flange with a 45* angle. I then chamfer the flange of the header bolt at 46* on the lathe. They don’t come loose. Been doing it 10 years.

Never had issues with Texas Speed 1 7/8 primaries long tubes. Felpro gasket, lock washers and endless fun no issues

or make sure they have both connectors on the bottom cuz that old flange header don't let the header move in the motor might be moving too much and it breaks the gasket all the time

I always put double gaskets if the flange started to warp and that 'usually' fixed the problem
