In Romania, that is a traditional dish, called “piftie” or “racituri” (depending on area) and it is quite tasty. The “jelly” comes from using bones or we add gelatine, basically in it’s initial form it’s a tasty bone broth with meet (pork or turkey) and then it becomes jelly like, it typically has garlic, it is not bad at all, but it is an acquired taste I guess for those who’ve not seen it. I believe it is done across all balkan countries and Italy.
