Awe, I can really relate to this. I always had straight hair- my entire life- until almost 2 years ago. I didn’t know what to expect and was terrified I would hate my curl. It took a while, but now I love them. It can happen!

Learning to love your curls is ABSOLUTELY a roller coaster journey!!! You are VALID 🫶 i got a Really bad haircut recently and it legitimately sent me into a depression. Our curls mean so much. Especially being raised in the straight hair era. I've learned STEAMING and oiling my curls has really changed the game.

Curls are so much work. I can’t keep them up in the winter because cold wet hair is too much for me. I try and bring them back in the summer when air drying is quicker
