We are in the midst of deciding whether to stay where we are, move for my husbands job, or start something entirely new in a different state. He’s constantly asking my opinion, how I’m feeling, what I’m wanting to do etc. which I love and appreciate. But I’m decision’d out. I finally told him “this is the price you pay for being the leader of our family. Where you lead, I will follow. I trust you and I know you will do what’s best for us” and I mean it wholeheartedly. I trust that man with mine and my kids’ entire lives.

We just went through a very stressful move, and in the last days of crunch time I got very sick and my husband had to do nearly everything himself. He was showing me things and saying how not to worry that he was gonna get it under control and organized and put away, and I had said of course you will your standard for that kind of stuff is so high. I know that you will take care of it. You don’t have to tell me twice, and I did not realize how impactful that comment was to him until a week later when he brought it up. The way he talked about it made me realize how important it was for him to hear that I trust his judgment and that he can accomplish things and will do it very well that would not have been a compliment that really stuck with me, but for him, it made a huge impact.

A man wants to be your hero and feel confident as a leader. I always let my man know I believe in him, proud of him and he knows I'm always here for him. Biggest cheerleader. He always tells me how supported and loved he feels. We are each other's rock.

My MIL is a retired 3rd grade teacher and she taught me to do this with my kids. It worked so well I thought what if I applied this to everyone since we’re all still carrying around our younger selves. It works. Women too.
