@beyonddiabetesnutrition: What’s the BEST sugar? Granulated white sugar? Brown sugar? Honey? Maple syrup? #nutritiontips #nutritiontok #insulinresistance #honey #brownsugar
So we will not mention that white sugar has only empty calories, while honey has antioxidants, antimicrobial and antifungal properties and it's sweeter than sugar so you will actually consume less calories?

I have a sugar addiction so I have to avoid white & brown sugar bc one bite & I’ll keep craving😔. With honey & maple sugar, I don’t have that problem.

Honey is healthier though because of the health benefits. It’s not just about calories and GI

I'm so happy dieticians are reminding people that sugar, no matter the source, breaks down the EXACT same way.😭 I remember so many people going agave and maple syrup because there was a health halo around them.💀

I would rather a wholefood / less processed option like honey, even if it means extra calories. Same applies for low cal yoghurts with with crap filler ingredients. Healthier doesn’t always equate to “lower calories”.
