in the mood for matchaaa 🍵 put a scoop in my matcha latte today and it was delish 😌 matcha banana pudding: ingredients * 1.5 cups cold milk * 1 (3.4 oz) box instant French vanilla pudding mix * 2 cups heavy cream * 1 tsp vanilla bean paste (optional) * 2–3 ripe bananas, sliced * 1 (12 oz) box Nilla Wafers * 3–4 tbsp matcha powder + more for dusting (add more matcha if you want a stronger flavor!) * 4–5 tbsp warm water * 4–5 tbsp condensed milk (plus more, to taste) instructions 1. In a bowl, whisk together the cold milk and instant pudding mix until smooth. Refrigerate for 1 hour to fully set. 2. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until medium peaks form (this prevents overwhipping once the pudding is added). 3. Sift the matcha powder into a small bowl. Add warm water first and whisk until smooth and fully dissolved. Then add condensed milk and whisk again to create a sweet matcha mixture. Adjust sweetness to taste (add more condensed milk if needed). 4. Once the pudding has set, fold the matcha mixture into the pudding until fully combined and green. Taste and adjust sweetness if desired. 5. Whisk the matcha pudding into the whipped cream until creamy and well combined. If you want a stronger matcha flavor, mix another matcha slurry (matcha + warm water) and mix it in here. 6. Assemble: Spread a layer of matcha pudding across the bottom of your dish. Place a layer of Nilla Wafers on top, then a layer of banana slices. Repeat the layers until the dish is filled. 7. Finish with a layer of matcha pudding and a dusting of matcha powder + crushed Nilla Wafers. 8. Chill for at least 2–4 hours (or overnight) to let the cookies soften and the flavors meld. 9. Enjoy! #matcha #bananapudding #easydessert #asiandesserts #asiandessert
