If you have no experience in construction and therefore don’t know what she’s doing, what she’s using or why she’s doing it then don’t comment as you don’t know what you’re chatting about. She’s fitting a single leaf lintel because the windows are being changed and currently the masonry of the outer skin had been built off the window frames so it’s being added so the windows can be removed. The inner skin will have a box or solid lintel as this is the one that’s taking the load from the roof a the floors. Hope this clears it up for you all

Architect Here: Nice aesthetic, non-structual work you've done there. However, that is not supporting the wall above. Taking the bricks out without supports was risky (and illegal), but you can get lucky and avoid a collapse, like you did, but more importantly you should have put a steel reinforced cement or just steel lintel in place. Photo attached. Hope that helps, but rest assured, you weakened the structure - not reinforced it.

I’m pleased to see you do this but you should have proped up the brickwork at least in the middle ideally 2 supports,,, I know cantilever comes into place but it could have been lime mortar and you would have had problems!!!!
