This isn’t a good take .. increasing steps should be a lifestyle change one you always try to fit in as it will extend your life you don’t need an exit strategy separate from weight loss so encouraging that be temporary is wrong

I get 20k+ a day and now I’m eating maintenance cals and they are 1,950 🎉 I’m 5’3 108lbs btw. If I notice the scale trending down I’m going to increase cals to 2100, etc.

Oh my god, this is such a valid point. I have never thought of that. About my diet I’ve been following this approach, trying to plan my meals the way I can maintain it for years, but didn’t think the same goes to exercise. Just today I was thinking about how I can work out as much as possible…lifting weights, going to gym, doing Pilates once a week, go for a swim, incline walking on treadmill 🤯 So, thank you much! You made me realize I have to chill down 😅

I get 30 mins walking on a slight incline and get pooped. And I do 30 min of strength training. I can’t walk 10K a day unless I’m on vacation🤣 then it’s easy but not where I live where I drive all the time

The way I see it is that you should not focus on weight loss so much. Yeah, when you are 20-ish, 30-ish it is important, but as you get older the priority should be to stay active and mobile so you can take care of yourself as you get older. Walking is great for that.

I do 10000 steps a day and lost lots of weight got depressed gained 10 kg stopped walking. But now that i started walking again for a few days i notice the difference instantly;) and it’s easy to maintain
