You could do a video and do some different angles or stances in it, and then you can take a screenshot snap from the video. Might help get past the idea of a “photo” if you are more comfortable doing a video format.

so what I did was make a couple of videos, just reviewing two different things in my house that I use everyday. one of them is my hair thing like a blow dryer curling iron in one and the other thing is an under eye like depuff thingy. yes that's the technical term LOL. then I went through and looked at those videos and figured out what I felt like my best angle is maybe the best smile maybe best lighting in my house. and that really helped me narrow down the kind of picture I find is more flattering for me.
