We had an Airbnb in an apartment that had 2 other guests in the building and anyone can use the hot tub but we had a booking per hour with limits per day. Everyone was super respectful of the time. Last person of the night was supposed to shock it; but hard to know who’s actually the last one there is the only thing.

Leave it separate!! When my family books air bnbs if we see there is a shared backyard/pool/hot tub we avoid it. Nobody wants to be stuck socializing with strangers on vacay

Both Airbnb should not use the hot tub. I have a property that’s the same set up. I have an upstairs unit and a downstairs in the downstairs gets the hot tub and many people questioning me about that before they book that they wouldn’t have booked if they had to share it.

You could invest in an inflatable hot tub for this unit. Allows for both units to have one without the awkward meeting
