@mattrosenman: I fixed protein labels so everything wont be called PROTEIN WHATEVER. Not a perfect system of course but I think it’d make a huuuge difference. What do you think?
10g of protein for 400 calories is not 10% my dude

There are brands now labeling cheese sticks as protein snacks. I think education is way more important than labeling.

So FDA thinks that an average person needs 50g of protein daily?? That's kinda low...

I work at Starbucks, and we recently started stocking this Mush overnight oats in our ready to eat section. It touts 15g, but only has 12% the daily value, meaning it’s only 6g of usable protein. But they still get away with putting 15g on the packaging like it means something

We need to focus less on protein (which almost no one is deficient in) and focus on fiber (which a lot of people aren’t getting enough of).

10 grams for no more than 120 calories to count as protein. That’s generous too

Solid idea. I am so exhausted of getting clickbaited by checking the protein calorie ratio just to find out it has horrible ratios

What do you think of the tags that Mexico has added to all of its products? They clearly mark it they have Excess sodium, sugar, calories, etc. to make it easier for the consumer to pick and choose

I think I'm done with "protein" touting products after seeing a ready meal with mostly chicken get the big ole protein branding... it's chicken ofc it has protein! but I'm sure they'll have bumped up the price by 50p or something
