I don’t think he was using her… I think they both got what they needed when they needed it and she wanted something more. The wife just happened to be in the right place at the right time…. Sometimes people are in your life for a reason a season or a lifetime. I think she was at least lucky she got a season with him.

he went away for at least 2/3 months by the sounds of it.... then at least another 2 months after coming back, he then met her friend... it was AT LEAST 4/5 months after they stopped seeing eachother that he took interest in her friend...he prob realised what he wanted in that time and grew ect...
