@homerenovisiondiy: One main difference between wood and composite decking is that composite doesn’t expand. Because of this you can achieve the perfect mitered corner to frame your deck. What do you think? Would you do this?

What brand of composite doesnt expand and contract? Trex, Azek, Timbertech, and every other brand Ive installed grows and shrinks with the temperature

The decking may not expand/contract but the deck its screwed to sure does, go look at any composite deck that is 5 plus years old and they alllllll look like trash 🫠

I've done this. A sixteen foot composite board doesn't care how much glue or how many biscuits, that sh!t expands and contracts fast and a lot

32 degrees outside. Installed composite decking. comes back next morning 15 degrees . All opened up. I hate it lol looks great but for the price ill take cedar for a patio any day
