Unless you’re planting something directly into the gravel at the bottom it just collects waste. Easier to leave the bottom bare for syphoning out waste

although this is lovely... Not having a Filter.. the Fish r swimming in their own Wee and Poo... & that causes poisoning of the water with your Nitrates going sky high... a small filter wud definitely help sweet xx
