YES! I totally get it. Even as a child, I was never religious, I grew up in a religious environment, and my family tried to impose religion on me, but it never worked for me. I'm 19 now, and a few months ago, I entered a phase of nihilism and existential depression, mainly because of everything that's happening in the world, hunger, war, the destruction of mother nature, also knowing that the system is designed for most people to simply fail, and especially because of the oppression of our gende, it was too much. But I was fortunate that, in addition to going to therapy, I started researching on my own. I wanted to know where we came from and why our world had ended up this way, and that's when I discovered different books related to how women are the foundation of everything. I also discovered your account, and it has helped me immensely, and I still had a long road to go!! And I believe we will be a matriarchy again someday, just thinking about it gives me a little hope and peace, just like knowing that there will always be love, empathy, intelligence and great resilience around women!!

Two of my favorite books are The Language Of The Goddess by Marija Gimbutas and When God Was A Woman by Merlin Stone. I’m not a religious or even spiritual person, but there is a deep sense of connection to the ancestors when I read these and similar books.
