My dad is a Toyota ASE Certified Master Tech, and after 20 years working at a Toyota dealer, he moved to their night crew doing PDIs on used vehicles and handling overflow work from day shift. So mostly lube tech work. He works 3p-2a Mon-Thurs nights doing lube tech work at a master tech rate. If they give him enough work, he can flag 100 hours in a 4 day work week. Often he comes home before 2am too, because he runs out of work. So yeah, an absolutely insane profession for making cash.
