yea, obsidian is easy to shatter. but to "mine" it or get anything functional from it, you need to mine skillfully, or around larger chunks to work by hand later

The only thing that makes it make sense is the fact that it’s still a cubed meter of obsidian, so it would still take a while to mine irl. However if we use this logic then every other block in the game breaks WAY too fast
