I think the movie sucked either way. I didn’t care about the kid at all. I wanted a Jackie vs Jet movie and the opportunity was wasted on this film. It could’ve been a period piece like Crouching Tiger or more modern like Police Story and instead it was a fantasy movie following some kid who has no proper martial arts background. Was stupid.

It didnt fail because of the marketing, it failed because people didnt want them to be side characters in a movie they only went to see because they wanted to see them together in.
