@kellylow2.0: This isn't talked about enough... A lot of over Gen X women are heading into retirement after: Starting over after 50,raising kids or taking care of parents, health issues, divorce etc. And the numbers don’t always match what we were told. But that doesn’t mean you’re stuck. It just means the plan might need to look a little different. #retirementplanning #genxwomen #contentsearchinsights

I unfortunately had to drain all my retirement savings while waiting years for disability to get approved. So what do I do? I get $1300 a month on disability with added health expenses that are not covered by Pharmacare or even insurance, but I can’t work 😪

My parents get around $2100 a month each between cpp, oas and supplemental benefits. Luckily they have apartments that are under $1000 a month each.

I just retired Friday, had no choice to retire my job. I’m so in debt I have to find another job asap. I’m 68 and have worked full time for 53 years. House not paid off, don’t drink or live extravagant. Just some bumps. At least I’m healthy. lol

I’m 61. Off on disability from work till 65 but am lucky enough to have a defined pension plan. I took CPP at 60 @$904 a month and when work pension kicks in it should be about $5000 a month.
