@missteariley: The Effects of Poverty in Education. This was made for an assignment within my Composition class for college. About 14% (10 million) children in the U.S. have and are living in Poverty. These students are typically behind compared to their “well off” peers with some showcasing academics as far as 2 years behind their peers. About 38% of Hispanic students and 37% of Black students attend high poverty schools. Poverty within education is a cycle. Many students don’t receive adequate care and nutrition and there are reports of poor emotional regulation and absenteeism. The community can help in many ways especially with donating school supplies and food. #povertyineducation #awarnessvideo #support
