Stoicism isn’t just “ignoring your emotions” and being flat. It means to ignore your self doubt.

Complete misrepresentation, it’s not ignore your emotions. It’s not letting your emotions control your actions, being calm and logical which is completely different

It’s not about pushing away your emotions when they boil up. It’s about understanding them so that they lose the power to control you.

Stoicism doesn’t teach you to ignore your emotions it teaches you not to let them control your actions The Stoics believed emotions are natural but that we should examine them and respond with reason instead of impulse You can still have huge dreams and work relentlessly toward them you just don’t tie your happiness or self worth to whether you succeed or fail That’s very different from killing ambition

Stoicism means you shouldn’t let things that you can’t control affect you and to accept that, but you can control some things, and to focus on those, not to just suppress your emotions or keep pushing through pain

Stoicism is that you can only control what you can control instead of external events, such as emotions, judgement and feelings

Stoicism teaches to control emotions not everything deserves a reaction an emotional man becomes a weak and dangerous man stoicism teaches you discipline and virtue it emphasizes the bigger picture move off logic not feelings.

stoicism is observing and learning from the emotions you feel rather than being controlled and stuck in negative emotions, completely got it wrong
