@mama.unfiltered: We officially got this house on March 11 and immediately chose chaos. In just over a month, we’ve basically taken it down to the bones… and our sanity with it. We’ve ripped out almost every wall and ceiling, fixed the foundation, replaced a header that was casually sagging a foot (no big deal), gutted the kitchen, swapped windows, fixed a gas leak (love that for us) we also got rid of the second shower in the only bathroom, and framed out a half bath in our bedroom! We’ve made approximately 47 trips to Home Depot, argued about selling the house at least 12 times, lightly threatened divorce (for character development), and outsourced childcare to anyone who would say yes. The kids? Thriving. Just running feral through a construction site. And somehow… after all of that… we still don’t have walls. 😂
