I grew up on a cow farm with a grandmother who survived the great depression. You know how much raw milk we drank?
None. Because my Nana knew better.

Correct me if I’m wrong, pasteurization is just the process heating up the milk to kill bacteria… if so, why are people all of the sudden so against it?

I’ll never understand wanted to pay a shit ton of money for raw milk even though it has zero benefit over pasteurized milk

To be fair, raw milk is safe to drink BUT you have to heat it up to 165 degrees for about 15-18 seconds and then let it rapidly cool. 😉

My chance of getting sick from raw milk is 0%. Because I’m not dumb enough to drink raw milk.

I don’t understand why people are trying so hard to convince us that raw milk is safe? Like, what’s in it for them? Why do they care?! Lol

My coworker was explaining that she suddenly became lactose intolerant even though “nothing has changed in her diet”. She said it was unfortunate because she had just recently started drinking raw milk from her friend’s cow and she was sad she couldn’t have it anymore. … like girl, maybe you were just sick from the milk and not lactose intolerant 🙃

I came across a raw milk blog that tells people to boil their raw milk before drinking it...
I think people don't understand what pasteurization is

Dairy farmer here, don’t drink raw milk. I grew up on it and I won’t give it to my kids because it’s a stupid gamble.

keep in mind if it was safe to sell unpasteurized a company would 100% be selling it. (it cuts into their profits processing the milk)

My great grandmother was alive in the 1890’s and SHE pasteurized her milk. 🤷♀️I trust the lady that grew up on one of the last old American homesteads, she lived to 98.
