Honestly, I wish the men around her weren’t so shitty. She never really had a chance to begin with. A shitty father who literally sold her off, when she finally found something close to love it was with a weak man who never stood up for her. Then there was the abuser who literally traumatized her so bad she was too traumatized to hold her own baby! Then she fell in love with a predator who basically used her as an incubator and she thought she was safe. But she never really had an education, never grew up in a society that allowed her to socialize properly so she didn’t even realize she was getting manipulated by an insecure man with daddy issues. That being said, I still don’t like her as a person. Not because of the homewrecking (she never really had a choice in the first place), but because of how she treats people lower than her station when she gains power. It’s a tragedy though really. I wonder what kind of person she would be if she wasn’t constantly in ‘survival mode’. Like, what if she had a mother to protect her? Or maybe female friends? What if her father wasn’t a deadbeat? She could have thrived so much with a proper support system.
