I personally always think about my boss and mentor Diane that I had a couple of years ago. She passed away unexpectedly when she was 38 (in 2017) and I am 42 now. She passed away about eight years ago and every year I think of her because she didnt make it to 40. Because of her I started traveling by myself many years ago. She encouraged me to travel alone and I’m so thankful that I had her in my life. 💜🥹

when I made it through cardiac arrest and got transferred to the rehab hospital it was night time. they pulled me out of the ambulance outside in front of the hospital. and immediately above was the moon. i hadn't seen it in two weeks. I'll never forget the blanket of gratitude I felt in that moment.

I don’t understand why my friend Nicole left this world. It never felt fair and it never felt right to me. I can’t help myself from thinking about whether or not she was scared. I know she was brave but was she scared? and why couldn’t I have been a better friend? Why couldn’t I return her text just one last time? When all she ever did was check on me. She made me feel so special. I never got to tell her but I hope she knows that & I hope she knows how special she was. One day she was here and then one morning she was gone. Life is precious. Do the thing. Take the call. Return that text. Love without thinking. Scream in the face of your fears and live your life. Live for the people you’ve lost. Live out loud. Live for the fun of it all. Live for yourself. Whatever you do and wherever you find yourself in life just make sure you live. I love you, Nicole and a piece of me will always live for you.

Love it. I catch myself stressed out with a frown, then I notice it, think something like this, let go of the stress and anger, and get back to enjoying the present. Life is nothing but moments, keep shifting back to joy, even in the pain and tears.

Wish I would’ve realized this when it mattered the most. Our youth comes and goes in a blink of an eye. We want to be older so bad, but when we realize that being older isn’t what we wanted, it’s too late. We have become adults & it’s too late to be a child again.
