@auntychannn: we are only as strong as our mental health, this isn’t a trendy topic, it’s the foundation everything else runs on! #MentalHealth #mentalhealthmatters #simplepsych #therapytok #psychnurse

You’re absolutely right. Mental health is not a trend or something to downplay — it’s quality of life. That’s the foundation. If your mind isn’t right, everything else can start feeling all over the place. I’m big on being vulnerable because to me vulnerability is strength. I’ll always advocate for myself and speak on what I deal with, because being honest is how healing starts. A lot of people don’t realize how serious it is until they see someone spiraling in real time. It deserves care, attention, and respect like anything else.

What if you don't connect with people? I grew up neglected, so connections are harder. Used to being alone. When I do socialize, I get tired afterward and end up with a headache. Creating a village is very very hard !!

I didn’t realize how much menoopause would affect my mind 😩 anxiety out of nowhere, brain fog, no motivation… I felt like I lost myself. it wasn’t just “mental,” something felt off in my body. nothing I tried helped long term. Then someone in a group mentioned Menoopause Transitiion Playbook (by Lisa Grant). things changed… calm mind, 28 lbs down, feel like me again. why is this so hidden

Yes!!! I ignored my mental health until I couldn’t anymore. I functioned, I thrived. Until I crashed and burned. Finally addressing my mental health played a key part in fixing all other aspects of my life. Thank you for the work you do!

I was diagnosed with clinical depression and almost dropped out of high school. I was placed in group therapy for teens and as an adult, I have 4 associate degrees magna cum laude, I maintained a 4.00 for 2 semesters and get my degree next year. Mental health matters!

I need people to realize that it truly is that serious. The minute your mental health is off, it’ll affect everything else and it’ll eventually — or sometimes right away, manifest physically. My mental health is of paramount importance.

It is exactly that serious. Not to get on my little nerdy soapbox about it, but I think if people could really grasp how directly their own biochemistry, and neurotransmission quite literally control EVERYTHING they do, it might begin to resonate. It’s happening so fast and the programming is so strong (by design) that you literally just will not notice it (meaning anything about your behaviors or programming good or bad) until you actively decide to take notice. Nothing in this existence, even sitting like a bump on a log, happens without these processes it is always that serious because, in a way there’s not really anything else happening.
