The people who started this war in Iran don’t have to worry about the price of gas every day. But we do. Suspend the gas tax. Suspend the diesel tax. End the war in Iran. Last week, I laid out a proposal to close billionaire tax loopholes — which would generate enough revenue to cover the gap from suspending federal fuel taxes (…plus a lot more).

okay, not to be THAT person, but that gas tax provides a lot of funding, and if I'm not mistaken, that particular tax is for building/maintaining roadways. when we eliminate funding from one avenue it has to be made up in another. what will make up this funding deficit?
