there was a miscommunication with the funeral home and the honor guard for my grandfathers funeral. my family is massive so ofc a lot of people there. a bunch of random people showed up and we were a little confused before we realized they were veterans just coming to honor my grandfather. one of the workers at the cemetery said he's never seen that many people show up for a funeral before. the military/vets will always show up for their own.

My mom is a volunteer at Arlington national cemetery. My father was 82nd airborne and also buried there. She shows up to most funerals that she knows will not have anyone there just to be there with them. It’s the most humble and loving thing she does

Ask me how many care packages I got on my deployment while serving???? 👌🏾 0 My battles kept my head straight while over there and whole time I was on meds depressed cause of no support from family.

Been to a few of those, keep your head up Sister; if you need to talk don’t forget there’s no shame in talking to behavior health, the chaplain corps or your leadership. “I am disciplined, mentally and physically tough” mental training is just as important as the physical.
