@louisethompson: A quick update from yesterday. I attended a debate at the Houses of Parliament discussing our petition to appoint a maternity commissioner in the UK. Interestingly, the room looked different to how I’d expected, because about half were men. I know this shouldn’t come as a surprise but I feel like it’s progress. There were some incredibly powerful speeches from MPs speaking on behalf of themselves, their constituents, friends and family members who have suffered, and the message came through loud and clear. We also had strong support from Chairs of APPGs and ministers, which really matters. I’ll be clipping down the key moments if you couldn’t watch it live, but you can also catch the full debate back.
