Appearing at the UN podium for the first time in his 40-year reign, the Libyan leader ignored the 15-minute time limit and spoke for a full hour and a half. The most memorable moment of the speech was when Gaddafi called the UN Charter a "piece of paper" and threw it over his shoulder.
