@naomibabybu: The racism radar of minorities is too sensitive for some Europeans. I’ve heard this numerous times in the UK/EU: that there is a hyper fixation on race in North America. It got me thinking a lot on the nuances between how North Americans vs Europeans view and discuss race, racial experiences, and frameworks of expression. Especially in a post-brexit UK I thought that comment was rich. #r#racisme#europef#fypシ゚f#fypviralシ
As someone who lives in Italy and works with tourists, I get stares and laugh at my face everyday. Never let a white man tell you anything about “race” they are the reason why “racism” exists.

the most irritating thing is when europeans act like race is an american concept and that there is no racism in europe. european racism is worse than north american racism. do they think white europeans and their culture magically appeared out of thin air?

Hey girl ! born and rase in Paris here 👋, he is wrong, he is just a man. I have a lot of international friends (black,Asian,Arabic…) they ALL face direct racism, and nowdays there is a rise of fascisme again, mainly because the main media are bought by the extreme right that always shows and talk about the « horrible danger of immigration » in they propaganda, you can definitely see and face racism, it even in Paris, so you’re not crazy and that’s not your fault. I wish I was there when he was telling you this 😩

White french men are so delusional about racism they think that racism in France is not as bad as in America so therefore it doesn't exist. And anytime you want to call out racism in France you either exagerate or doing an hyperfixation on it 💀

I’ve lived in Paris as a Chinese American, and personally I haven’t experienced racism in any of the intense ways that you have actually but in more touristy areas I do experience more racial profiling. I am so sorry that you had to experience that. However, I had to learn how to identify as Chinese much more frequently than I do in the US, which actually forced me to become more connected to my ethnic background.

As French black man in Paris you are right most of white French man can’t see the subtile day to day racism because it’s deeply rooted in French society. But a lot of them will tell you they experience anti white racism even if White is 98% of continental French and they have all the power

Also experienced that in Paris studying abroad but also noticed it applied somewhat to LGBTQ+ issues, French guy told me that US focuses too much on labeling/talking about it

People are judged all the time, race is only one of hundreds of criteria that you are judged. I lived in SE Asia for 5 years, China for 3 years, and Russia for 5 years. If ware looking for a race based judgment you will find it white or not, if you are ugly, fat, stupid, handicapped, bald, people are judging you. At the end of the day you and others won’t find happiness in looking for judgement and then accessing it. I think about the restaurant that asked you to leave, how lucky could you have gotten, you didn’t have to support a company that doesn’t like you, probably didn’t have good food or service

As a POC who’s not American but is French and lives there, I find France to be a bit behind in some social issues. Because of the lack of conversation of racism and with that intersectionality, the topics of feminism and queer rep is diluted because it still based on the expectation that everyone haves similar experiences which is far from the case

I am a Black man from Africa, living in the U.S. for 15 years: I get the frustration with systemic racism here. But if you think America is racist, go to Europe—it's on a whole different level. America has real problems, yes. But here, even if you have to work twice as hard as your white colleagues, that hard work and dedication can still take you further than anywhere else I've seen. Baby- I love your contents and I'm seriously thinking about writing a book about one of your topics that moved me a d share with my 550k followers in (IG FB Snap and TikTok)You are incredible! God bless you!
