PSA these can potentially be more dangerous in an accident because it is NOT a proper set up. They can buckle under pressure, shift etc and have not be safety tested. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH!! This is coming from someone who impulsively bought this product and threw it away after doing more research.

I get the concern about safety. In a major accident, nothing is completely risk-free-with or without a maternity seatbelt. But that's not really what this is for. This is designed for everyday driving-like sudden stops or braking- to help reduce pressure on the belly and keep things more comfortable. Comparing it to extreme crash scenarios isn't really a fair comparison.
