“Where’s your favourite place you’ve travelled to in Malaysia?” We get asked this a lot. We’ve always dreamed of exploring every part of Malaysia, slowly. But here are our top three places visited in 2025. 🌺🐅 【1】Kota Bharu, Kelantan 🥥 You might think we’re biased because it’s our hometown, but we genuinely love it here. Kelantan is often portrayed very differently in the media. We get questions like “Is it scary to live there?” all the time. But this side of Kelantan is rarely seen. The people are incredibly kind and always open to sharing their heritage and culture. You’ll know once you’re here. 【2】Nipah, Pulau Tioman 🏝️ It was our first time in Tioman, and we chose to explore one of its quietest corners. Nipah is a more secluded part of the island. We stayed at The Nipah, an Airbnb with just four huts, and even hiked to a hidden waterfall. The sand and sea weren’t the clearest, but the experience felt personal and meaningful. 【3】Balik Pulau, Penang 🚲 We’ve all been to Penang at least once, but Balik Pulau is so underrated. Our favourite memory was cycling through paddy fields, beaches, and mangroves, then stopping by local eateries along the way. Staying in a durian treehouse with no doors or windows made it even more unforgettable. Malaysia truly has so much to offer, from heritage and culture to landscapes and food. But more than anything, we’ve learned that it’s the people who shape the stories and turn places into unforgettable experiences. Comment tempat2 terbest you visited this year ❤️💙💛 #kiakiaplaces #malaysia #kelantan #tioman #balikpulau
