I never wanted my wife to have to worry about this. So we set up a separate account just with her name and did a formal notarized letter I signed stating I claim no right to any funds in the account now or in the event of divorce. I have an allotment set up to put money in it for her every paycheck. We just call it her retirement fund.

my man put my name on everything as a equal owner. it's a duel account, the house is in both of our names just like everything else.

There is a safe way, but it involves planning for the worst. You have to have protections in place for yourself as a sahm - a career/education to fall back on, personal emergency savings, etc.

okay i need to vent. i've spent SO much money on manifestation stuff over the years. courses, fancy journals, crystals, like all of it. hundreds of dollars. nothing changed. coworker lent me The Truth About Manifestation by Daniel Rowe last month and i'm honestly mad. this book costs less than lunch on Amazon and it did more than any course i ever bought. doesn't try to upsell you on anything either. just gives you the truth

I’ve never had joint bank accounts. I kept my own and he kept his own but I have a savings for me and baby on my own accounts. He deposits money on them every paycheck
