@scenic.snapper: beginner photographers if you’ve tried learning how to use manual mode on your camera and it overwhelmed you, try using this camera mode instead. you don’t have to learn manual mode on your camera right away if you don’t want to. lots of photographers use different camera modes, and some only use manual mode. the point is to start enjoying photography and the best way to do that, is to use whatever camera mode you feel comfortable with. so although i say don’t do this as a beginner photographer, my point is do what you feel comfortable doing. you don’t have to use manual mode to enjoy photography.

don't use ap mode on Canon. it always overexposes highlights.. better use manual with iso on auto, limit iso to 6400 or 12k.

for over 30 years i have been using aperature priority. And if you need to override the exposure use the +/- exposure button and that will adjust the shutter speed accordingly

I use manual mode, and was told to use auto iso, but it never selects the correct iso. In a dark horse arena, it will select 100 or 200, and it should be 500-800. I have a Canon R6 M2.
