I often come to the thought that she did what she could to make sure herself and Carl was being looked out for, even if that meant having s*x with Shane. Plus we need to remember she probably felt safe with him, with them being friends before, him saving them and her husband dead. After Rick came back I can see why she didn’t completely ended it with Shane, probably knowing his temper and knowing if anything happened to one of them the other would look after her and Carl. At the same time she might have felt she owed Shane something after he saved them. I like the complicity of her character and feel like it’s too easy just to say she’s a bad person / character
