@fortytwojudges: My first try! Here’s what I learned: 1. The paint really needs to be the right consistency. I was using an older bottle of leather paint and just couldn't get it right 😠 Finally I bought myself fresh paint and it worked much better. 2. Slow and steady wins the race. Also making sure you pause to blow dry the piece every few lines helps limit smudging. 3. Pre-treatment of the leather really depends on the type of leather you are using. This wallet was pretty close to plain (raw? untreated?) and the sanding/acetone I do on previous tests almost harmed the leather more than helped. What else do you want to know??
