Bisbee is a very whimsical little town, unfortunately dying because it's an old mining town. The economy is nearly entirely tourism based and they don't recieve as much as they used to. Most of the population can't afford to renovate their homes so a lot of people are leaving :/

So fun fact- the hat shop used to be owned by this wonderful woman that past away last year- she was phenomenal and a testament to Bisbee and made hats for Clint Eastwood and John Wayne etc. I was very sad that it was replaced with that hat store- they were not nice to me

As a local, I can confirm it is not real. The more you explore, the less real it becomes. It has SO much more than meets the eye and you can live here for years and still find a new corner every day. Oh how I adore Bisbee
