Its the smell they are attracted to but truly its so bad for them try hypochlorous acid its a game changer, it kills odors and disinfects better than bleach

Had to look it up cus LOL. Cats are attracted to the smell of bleach because its chemical composition, specifically chlorine, can mimic the scent of pheromones or territorial ammonia-like signals. This scent can trigger a behavioral reaction similar to catnip, causing cats to rub, roll, purr, or drool on surfaces recently cleaned with bleach.
