all u guys saying end tipping culture or saying u don’t tip obviously have never worked in the industry and have no idea how tipping works. In most restaurants, severs tip out 7% of their SALES to the back of house staff like expos, hostesses, and the cooks. If the table tips, depending on how big and their bill, then that 7% will likely come out of their tip and they will still have some left over. If a table doesn’t tip, then the server has to take out the 7% of the tables bill out of THEIR OWN pocket
