let’s be realistic… #fyp edit: only gonna say this once for the nitpickers in the comments, not because i feel like i have to explain myself, but so we both leave with the right information. the guy is saying it doesn’t cost twice as much to fill your tank because gas went up a dollar. i went on to use the 2x4 and 3x4 example to show that yes, even with an increase of 1 it still can cost more because it’s not just a flat increase, it still adds to the original total depending on how many gallons you’re buying. and before people say “he never said gas didn’t increase,” i’m aware 😭 my example was to show WHY for many people it FEELS almost double financially compared to before. i never said 40 ➡️70 is mathematically double, i said it’s NEARLY double. i used my area and my car as an example because that’s what im familiar with, i understand gas prices in different areas vary as with how many gallons different vehicles hold. not to mention other people in the comments also giving their own examples of once paying $30 and now paying upwards of $60. if you think the example is flawed and could’ve been worded better, fine. but let’s not sit here and brush over the original point that people are actually paying significantly more than they did before, which is almost or actually double in some cases.
